Fruit baskets
Nobody seems to want fruit baskets anymore. Rather than symbols of
holiday giving and life, they have become the epitome of unwanted and
uncreative gifts from corporations or clueless relatives. However, with
a couple unique additions, they can regain their status as staples of
holiday cheer.
A number of unique items known to spice up fruit baskets include:
• Pomegranates
• Star fruit
• Mangoes
• Papayas
Whenever giving fruit baskets, it’s good to know the dietary
needs of the recipient. While most people are not allergic to fruit,
be careful when decorating a basket with nuts or sweets, which have
a tendency to cause more allergic reactions. It’s also recommended
to wash the fruit before packing it up into baskets.
